Do you have a Revolutionary Patriot in your family tree?
Over
two hundred years ago, American patriots sacrificed their lives and
fortunes for the freedoms we enjoy today. Membership in the Daughters
of the American Revolution (DAR) honors and preserves the legacy of
your patriot ancestor. As a member of the DAR, through participation in
the National Society's various programs and activities, you can
continue this legacy by actively supporting historic preservation,
promotion of education, and patriotic endeavors.
Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent
from an ancestor who aided in the American Independence is eligible to
join DAR.
Click here for more details about a patriot's acceptable service. Admission to membership into the DAR is
through a chapter or as a member-at-large. Our chapter registrar can provide guidance and assistance
with the application process. We invite you to visit our
chapter and meet us. Contact our chapter registrar for more information.
DAR members come from a variety of backgrounds and interests,
but all share a common bond of having an ancestor who contributed to
securing the independence of the United States of America. Learn about the DAR through this informative video entitled, “Today’s DAR.”
We look forward to receiving your membership inquiry at Princess Sehoy Chapter, NSDAR.
